to be honest i had none, but i have a rather bizarre sense of will power.

more than believing, I KNOW that all that shit is harming me, so it felt like nothing but sweet relief to be rid of it.

Although I have note been consistent with posting, I have maintained an active life.

Still doing the general three day split, but focusing on mixing up the exercises themselves, the reps, the sets...along with HIIT every couple days.

The HIIT has been consisting of the sprinting, stairclimber machines (usually 10 minutes worth), rowing machines (5-10 minutes worth) and the treadmill , to which I have thrown in interval inclines ( level 1.5-10, keeping speed at 6.5 mph, for twenty minutes, 1 minute intervals, for example).

Been doing a lot of squats, deadlifts, romanian squats, bulgarian lunges, presses, bent over rows, woodchoppers etc.

- Good nutrition comprises seasonal food in as close as possible to its natural state: well, duh.
- Good exercise comprises activities necessary with local natural resources to acquire the above and defend from predators: well, duh.
- Good mental health stems from consistent social interaction with a small group of well-known individuals all involved in the above: well, guess what, duh.

welcome!

These three things, but especially the last one resonate with me.

For me, I see the whole value of wild foods, eaten in wild communities of wild people.

As eating is essentially one of our, if not the, primary relationship(s) it is a direct, tangible manifestation of our interbeing.

Currently I am cow, pig, chicken, salmon, tuna and sardine. I feel this does not honor the gifting relationship that life really is.  We have ignored the gifting for too long. A whole system of domination, alienation and domestication must exist for me to live the way I do currently.

I wish to be squirrel, mouse, chipmunk, raccoon, hare, porcupine, grouse, trout, deer, moose and bear.

As I rewild, I change and I change my relationship within and with everything. Language fails more and more often to convey my understanding. These categories of body, mind and spirit not only fall short, but create a disconnected perception and experience of the great integrity.

Direct, tangible relationship and experience reveals that life flows through all and it is very local and personal.  I know certain trees, particular mountains, unique streams.  Beyond mere concepts, there is now and here, wild and free.

I've done quite a bit since I last wrote, including some decent rest time.

Yesterday I did the core building class and that ongoing yoga class I attend and then I did legs...just legs.

But for this set of splits (yesterday, today and probably tomorrow) I have done lighter weights in a 3 sets x 15 reps configuration to mix things up a bit.

Today was chest, triceps and forearms, then I did the sprint intervals again.

Suze,

Congratulations on  a rowing machine.

Hmm, trying to think about what to offer for advice.  They are pretty straightfoward, what I will say thouh is they are quite a workout. Most have computers that allow you to monitor distance, time and speed.  I usually pay attention to time and just gauge my effort level by feel.

The ones I have used also have adjustable resistance.

oh, a thought just came to me, I find it MUCH better when I can really strap my feet to the footmounts really tight...they still loosen up ands lip out though.

Today:

-45 minutes of various ab and back core exercises (in a led class)
-1.5 hours of Iyengar yoga (I really love that!)
