Exercises / Alternative to squats.

I want to tone up my thighs, but I have bad knees (patella tendonitis) so doing squats hurts. Holding my weight on bent knees is impossible sometimes. The more I play sport the worse they become.
Does anyone have anything low impact I can do to tone my thighs.

Introductions / Trying to start paleo, but hitting walls.

Hi guys. I'm trying to start going paleo, I'm keen on the 80/20 rule for the moment as it would be easier to stick to.
I've hit a couple of walls already though. My boyfriend doesn't want to go paleo. He will eat the meals when I cook them, but then he'll also bring in a lot of non paleo food and want to get takeout with me, and I am not good with temptation.
My work also supplies cheese, crackers and sweet biscuits, along with cakes and dips on special occasions.
When I am out of the house eating I tend to eat anything as I can not be bothered dealing with people asking about why I'm not eating certain foods. It seems whenever I try to explain it to someone they say "why are you on a diet? You're skinny already." But it's not about the weight, I just want to be healthy.
Does anyone have some tips to help me stay on track?
