Well i mainly drink black earl grey tea and water. Not enough plain water to be honest. I eat steak, pork chops, lamb chops. I do eat unsmoked green bacon from our local butcher and proper large free range eggs. Had quite a bit of fish. Roll mops. Skate. Seabass. I do mainly use coconut oil but also a bit of butter. I dont eat at particular times. Just when i am hungry and quite often just once a day. If i wake up hungry i feel that is good. A little fruit maybe half a dozen oranges and two apples.
Oh confession. I had a hot chocolate drink one evening. My exercise comes from working in a shop twice a week and all the roads round here are hills. Been walking everywhere.

Hi peeps.
Have done very clean paleo for a month. No alcohol, no sugar. Few carrots, mushrooms, cauli, broccoli, zucchini.
A very few pieces of fruit.
I have lost 14 .2 lbs so far which is great.
Question. Should I carry on exactly the same or adjust what, or the amount I am eating to ensure weight loss continues.
I have between 36 and 50 lbs to lose.
Thank you.

Thats a good point. Thank you Warren.
I have to say that I seem to be succeeding insofar as I am not making fancy food or thinking about it as much. I didnt eat until 6pm yesterday as was busy.
Food as fuel. But cross though that butcher left the liver out of my meat order and had been looking forward.

hi, I thought like Jay Jay says you are supposed to eat the fat.
But I also saw a suggestion on this forum to read Neanderthin by Ray Audette and he has said more than once lean meat but make sure cooked with coconut oil/lard etc.

I LOVE the fat, and it keeps me warm too and my bowels working properly.

Am i right? Why does Audette say different please?

Exercises / I have to exercise. I am 65 this year and very unfit
« on: April 15, 2016, 12:14:44 PM »
I have the start of osteoarthritis in my hips and my knees are not flexible.
I have zero money for equipment or a gym.
I have started with some gentle tai chi. I would like to do some weight or resistance training. I own a pair of 2.5kg plastic dumbbells.

Am I beyond help? Can someone point me at something useful on youtube. I have not found anything suitable yet.
Also, I am easily discouraged. How can I measure progress?

I am currently 196 lbs and 5feet 5 inches.

All suggestions gratefully received.

I really need to start gently.

Oh, I also have a static bike and a cross trainer.

And I eat all the right things then get a REAL craving for something sweet.

Is there a way to train my body away from this.
Thank you Eric. You are a very patient man.
