Hi and welcome!

All they mean is did you eat the fat around the edges or not basically.  They probably pulled a set of metrics on the nutrients when someone did NOT eat any visible/chewy fat VS. when someone did eat all of the meat, fat and all.

I buy Sirloin tip side and I ask for it to be extra lean so I think whole foods removes the fat around the edges but there is always a line in the middle of the steak that is fatty. Is that also considered part of the visible fat?

I just started the Paleo diet and im adding my food to a calorie calculator website.. when I choose Beef Sirloin, it gives me a choice of "no visible fat eaten" or "visible fat eaten". Anyone knows what the difference is as they contain different calories and fats? I get my meat from Whole Foods lean and grass fed.
