Diet and nutrition / Re: Question about fruit
« on: June 09, 2012, 06:25:14 PM »
I eat fruit for hydration, carbs and nutrition by following the seasons.

I also combine high vitamin c fruit with raw fat.  So powerful it can turn white hair back to its original color.

What do you have that grows hair?  ;D

Research / Re: More proof that we neeeeed chocolate

There are a lot of clinical trials in this area. I hear advertisements on radio and TV for trial participants.  I am waiting for this trial advertisement:

'Participants needed for a clinical trial on the benefits of eating chocolate.  Men and women age 12 to 120 qualify.  If selected you will be given free chocolate. Those who complete the trial will be compensated up to $3,500.00.  Reimbursement for mileage will be paid in addition to above amount.  Health insurance is not required.'

I've been also waiting for the MM trial too (not the candy).

Author is trying to sell his own products and solutions.
It's simple:  You find the paleo diet because conventional wisdom and conventional solutions didn't work. If they did you wouldn't be here.

Research / Red meat halves risk of depression
« on: March 21, 2012, 09:27:54 AM »
Last week we learned that red meat was going to kill you. But while waiting for it to kill you at least you won't be depressed if you are a woman.

Red meat halves risk of depression

Women who reduce lamb and beef in their diets are more likely to suffer depression, according to the new study.

Here in the USA I haven't seen any advertising for this procedure.  They are advertising something that appears to be an IUD. But those have been available for over 30 years.

I took the survey.  Some of the questions didn't include all the options like:

Which of the following activities do you do at the gym?

    Body Building - Free Weight
    Body Building - Fitness Equipment
Cardio - Cardio Equipment - (Treadmills, Exercise Bikes, Elliptical, Stairclimbers, etc)
Cardio - Group Exercise Classes (Spinning, Aerobic, Body Pump, Step, etc)
    Weightlifting - general

He left out "Watching the 21 year old women work out."  ;D

You should probably cut back on the polar bear livers also.

LOL!  I can't find polar bear liver at my local Vons.

As for Omega 3 suppliment I take a Krill oil capsule (when I remember)

@Jayjay Donate blood.

Heh, heh, heh...I think this is one reason why they scheduled the test for 6AM. Not much I can do in the wee hours of the morning to alter the outcome. Nice idea though.

That's a terrible time. Blood pressure for many people is higher in the early morning.  Doctors and pharmacists are now starting to advise people to take blood pressure medication before bedtime because of that. If you take your medication in the morning you may want to take it Sunday morning then Sunday evening. Go to bed early.

'Dr' Hulda Clark had a cancer clinic in Mexico. She claimed to cure cancer. She did died from cancer.

Studies over the past 50 years have failed to show:

1. Fat causes heart disease.
2. Salt causes heart disease or hypertention.
3. Coffee raises blood pressure, causes strokes or heart attacks.
