Took my longboard out tonight for an hour or two ride

Lots of fun as always, with intense uphill pushes and relaxing downhill carving

Worked on a few simple tricks like the lookback and crossstepping

With the goal of making myself more productive at work and having a more relaxing evening I took Art Devany's lead and added coffee and wine to my diet

Only problem is that they cause stomach acid problems.  I am either not eating enough high-base foods to offset the acid or these drinks just aren't for me

Any experiences?

Great posts so far Chris

You should try sprinting instead of jogging.  I usually do a very intense 10-20 second sprint then walk for 30-60 seconds and repeat, all on a flat trail by my house.

Some other comments:

  • Wondering why you used the Smith machine for deadlifts.  I'm all about free weights to ensure stabilizer muscles get worked properly.  Just make sure you keep your back straight during deadlift and head up to prevent injury.
  • Can you explain all your abbreviated terms just so we're all clear?  Perhaps that is something we could standardize on and put into a FAQ for first time members of the forum to get familiar with.
