Watermelon has been my weakness.  I can eat practically a whole melon.  I always regret it though (never gained weight...it causes bad stomach problems).

 I sometimes will eat loads of blackberries, but I never feel anything but good with those (except maybe a bit poorer  :D).

One thing I like to do is buy fruit on sale and freeze it.  I work at my local food co-op, so I can special order things at cost. When strawberries are under $20 a case (about 10 pounds), I'll buy and freeze most of them. Bananas, pineapple, peaches, berries, etc all freeze very well.

Meat is more difficult, but ordering in bulk helps a lot.

I don't do cheat meals either.  I view non-paleo foods as allergens at this point, so they are not too hard to avoid.  I've only been doing strict paleo for 4 months, but I wouldn't want to screw up the wonderful changes to my health for a cheat meal, you know?  This is me personally though.  :)

I think most people cook their meat.  I also think telling people they need to eat meat raw will turn them away from eating paleo.  Eat your fruit raw...and any veggies you like raw.  Cook everything else.  Make it work for you.  Eating paleo is a big stretch for most people....so do what you need to do to enjoy your meals.  I like my meat cooked well. I eat lots of fruit.  I prefer my veggies cooked for the most part.

At first, I think it was best for me to make sure I ate something fatty (meat or avocado) with sweeter fruit just to curb the hunger.  The first couple weeks I was hungry a lot!....Now not so much.   ;D

I think a lot of us limit our nut intake as well.  It's best to get your protein and fat from meat, but nuts are great in a pinch. It's easy to overdo it with nuts.  I guess it all depends on your personal digestion and such too.

I'm new here, but like others have said, not that new to paleo.  I tried it for a summer about 2 years ago, but never fully gave up dairy or beer.  :o  About a month ago, I had a really, really terrible case of eczema.  So, I went on an elimination diet (no gluten, dairy, soy, eggs, sugar, chocolate, alcohol etc.). Before long, I was completely grain free.  My rash disappeared, I've lost 10 pounds, and I feel great.  There's no going back now. My mother and sister both fell victim to type II diabetes, and I don't want to follow in their footsteps.  So, grains are out for good.  I may consume butter again, but for now I'm completely dairy free.

I'm a mother of a 5 year old boy, and I work part time at my local food co-op (cheap organic/grass-fed meat and organic produce!!!).  I live in the northern plains in the US...glad to have found you!
