I try not to check myself on the scales, I just see how I am in the mirror, scales can be risky business and almost be an obsession. Maybe some of it could be water wieght? Did you happen to have 2 litres of water before wieghing yourself? Was it after a meal? Lots of contributing factors. Sometimes I can vary from 2-3 kilos in a day, depending on if I have fully digested my meals etc.

Sprinting and intense weight training, esp. Olympic lifting rapidly depletes glycogen stores which can take from 24-36 hrs. to replenish. During that period the body goes to fat stores for fuel.

Have been feeling a little bit tired of late - fatigued etc. I am going to take it slow for a few days, especially until my foot is better, I have wrapped a bandage firmly around it and in the shower I pour hot water on it for a minutes. My dad bough a new situp machine like the ab king pro or something, did like 10 last night and it was reallly hard way harder then crunches.

So the fact I am always fatigued physically and take 2 hours naps out of bare necessity is a good thing? I heard someone saying doing anymore then 2 hours of cardio a day is bad and can make you go fatter because of a starvation mode and all the food sticks to you or something. I eat all the time so I never go without food, but I love my cardio, it doesnt sound possible that over doing cardio makes you gain wieght, sounds like some propaganda crap can someone reassure my anxieties about this!

Great work man, you are truly an inspiration, I have been meaning to ask, I have recently started sprinting really hard out instead of cross country and I have been feeling awesome and really amped up all the time, is it true that sprinting for 60 seconds x 5, is better then cross countrying for an hour? I really work at it until my heart feels like it's going to explode, I have also cut down on the weight training a little bit not so vigilante I am really focusing on cardio and slimming down. I have about 3 weeks left before uni starts so, I really want to hit it hard now.

Hahahaha, sorry that sounded hilarious. Although, injuries are not something to joke about, I currently have a sprained foot because I ignored it for days and kept running on it, just before when I was driving I did a uturn at the lights and had to reverse twice because of my foot and there were like 5 cars behind me beeping, very scary stuff.

Jogging, pushups, situps, dips on the couch, some sort of bar you could do chinups on. Be like Rocky, find things around your house to use to train, like when he was in Mother Russia, versing Drago, my fave Rocky film :D

Obviously I'm still far from Tarclachs mirror image, but everyday I hope to get closer  ;D

I am not 100 percent sure if it has been in fact a month yet but here it is..

I will post up yet another picture here in a month or so, I then can get a pat on a back for improvement or be criticized for my short comings. lol joke

Classic Wldjfg taking my side, what a great man! HAha joke, but seriously cardio is so awesome I used to be like bored with gym because of weights all you do is sit there and lift and lift, - yawwwn. Now that I am going for runs on the treadmill or out on the streets I feel ALIVE, its the best feeling ever, its like even when I have trimmed down and look lean I will still run just to get that high I get from it, its sooo good, I am like never weight training seriously again its almost depressing.

I have a little bit of carbs every now and then, and its not making me gain weight at all.

My theory is this

Cardio training + little bit of carbs = lean and fit

No cardio training + no carbs = lean.

What would you rather I ask you?

I would find it really hard to do the cardio I do, which is HIIT without having carbs in my diet, theres no way salads and fish could give me that energy.

Wait, what? Cardio has slimmed me down ever since I have started up sprints and rigorous exercise till my heart feels like its going to explode, I barely have a belly anymore and I still eat heaps, I am slowly starting to see some obliques coming through  ;D

Remind me I have to post up an update pic of myself shortly.

And again, the running continues, although I am starting to get blisters now because I don't have proper running shoes, I chose to spend my xmas money on going out clothes, when I should of bought some new runners. Hopefully my old man hooks me up until I get paid or something. It's annoying running with slip on shoes and my toes hurt aswell. But funnily enough, even though I just came back from the gym + running I still feel like I could run a few more laps, I have a crazy amount of energy which is sort of freaking me out a bit.

I am starting to box the bag almost everyday now, as well as going to the gym and hopping on the tread mill full pelt until my chest hurts. I then come home and if at night I have too much energy I go for a run around my nieghbourhood, this running thing is like a drug I have to have more and more, I will keep going harder and harder everyday! Noone can stop this haha lol
