I realise I posted in the wrong place but.
my stats are as follows:
5'11"
220 lbs
waist size around the navel 42 1/2"
chest size 46"
hip measurement 41".

as of today my weight is 218
chest 45 1/2
hips 39
waist 41
so.. not a lot of progress but progress non the less. I do feel much better and possibly it is a slow go maybe due to the fact that I had cleaned up my diet in terms of gluten and soy and grains along with sugar and dairy as well. So this is the stubborn hard to get of rid crap that has been (hanging) around. I did a BMI and I know they are subjective but it stated that I am currently 25 lbs overweight although my lean mass was 166 lbs. My blood pressure once again subjective as it was at one of those in the supermarket was 125/68
with a resting heart beat per minute of 67.

if it is the back thats Inuit. When I did the Adidas International Marathon in Vancouver in 05 it was the design on the finishers shirts. And it commemorates transformation in my life for a myriad of reasons. Thank you by the way too. It was about a 6 hour job.

kinda of an update, my weight has decided to increase back to 222 however Im actually seeing the outlines of muscles that I have never seen at least on me. This weight concern has been with me since I was about 13, it just sort of happened. The best shape I have been in was when I installed carpet and practiced karate' and worked out 5 days a week when I was in my 20s. To me that was way too much effort but I could eat anything then. This is confusing though eating like this and the fluctuation of weight, this happens each time I do something new. I do feel a bunch better and I suppose that is what actually counts...

Don't get hung up on the weight.  I can fluctuate by 5lb over a few days (depending upon what I eat, drink, etc).

Feeling better is a great start and if you are seeing more muscle definition, you are losing fat.

Update
waist at the navel 42
hips 40
chest 44

although this am weight was up to 223

muscle weight I suppose due to the chin up bar as well as intermittent free weights.
I wonder what will take place now that I will be back to work after a 4 month layoff, and changing to paleo.
I cant "see" the difference but there is no mistaking the tape measure.

Is at the navel where I'm supposed to measure my waist? Is that where my waist is supposed to be?  :)

Men are supposed to measure at the navel.  Women are supposed to measure at the narrowest point, I believe.

yes women measure at narrowest part....I usually put the tape just above the top of my iliac crest.  If you stand straight and the bend to the side....it's usually where your body "creases" that you measure for women.  My belly button is about 4-5 inches lower than my waist.
