SInce I've only been trying this since Saturday lol BUT I'm really curious with how this way of eating affects me so I'm starting off with a day 1 info to refernce to and to see where this leads
I've been fortunate to never need to lose a significant amount of weight (other than post pregnancy). I'v held steady between 140-145 for about 10 years. I'm 5'6" so could probably loseat least 10 and still be considered 'healthy' Ofcourse I was 130graduating from highshcool 20 years ago.
I usualy drank 1 diet coke in the morning, sometimes one at noon. Never later because I'm caffiene sensitive and then wouldn't sleep that night -- which lead me to my other vice of wine or cocktail to 'wind down'
No medications other than occasional allergy meds, melatonin at night sometimes.
I get a bit of 'depression/anxiety" which I term "angry b!tch syndrome'.
Ironically (or not) I've realized for quite sometime that the coke/alcohol totally contribute to the angry b!tch syndrome. Funny how even though you KNOW something you still choose to make poor choices.
Oh, and for a few years I've had digestive issues ... I've always had a stomach of steal (or so I thought) and then after the birth of my son I've had more issues. Nothing major, just an inconvience. Doctors, testing, etc all show nothing which leads them to say "oh its IBS"
SO ... What I've noticed in the 1st few days... of lots of veges, fruits, and meat and NO caffiene or Alcohol
After getting over the intiial 'hump" of decreased sugar, I feel pretty good!
I've slept good --only waking up once or twice vs waking up every hour or so!
No change yet in the digestive issues but I'm hoping that will occur soon!
Im curious to see if my bodyweight will change or if it already where 'it needs to be"
I'm traveling out of town next weekend for a marathon/'2nd honeymoon' so I anticipate a back slide. I am nervous about running so will probably thrown in some extra carbs of the non-paleo type.My goal is to pick the healthier versions. My goal is also to not 'back slide" so much that its a 'whole new start" again.
(just putting this out there not so bore you but so that I can refer back to and check my progress or lack there of ;-) )
btw -- chicken with veges stir-fried with olive oil, ginger and orange zest and a tad of garlic is pretty darn good!
