I would post a pic but my stupid hardrive crashed a few days ago and I had awesome pics of my no muscle but really skinny body :D, it would of been great to compare it to me in a few months time when I reach my peak muscular physique. Also my camera phone is stupid with bluetooth and no photos I have seem to be able to link to my laptop grrr!!! I have convenient excuses heh

Well we'd love to see them when you can post some!

I wanted to note too that I have since gotten weighed at a doctor's office, and I lost around 10 lbs since going meat-only, apparently.

I've noticed that my belly is flatter since I've started meat-only, so I wanted to share a pic. I don't know how well you can see it. The first pic is four months into Paleo. The second pic is after three days of meat-only (with fish and eggs). If you can see it, in the second pic you can see my hip-bone which you can't see in the first pic. Now there's less distension and bloating. Also my shorts are riding lower now, too, and my arms a little slimmer.

Paleo vs. Meat-only

You're looking great, Marika.  It took me about 18 viewings to notice the guitar case behind you.   :o ;D

Haha, that's funny- thanks Doug!

I've lost more weight since that last pic, actually - there's new pics in my journal. My belly is even flatter now!

I found another 'before' photo.  This was from Nov 2005 (a year before getting pregnant with my first child.  I thought I looked GREAT!):

And to save people flicking back to my other post.  This is my April 2009 photo (just over a month after giving birth to my second child).

(I lost some weight with 'traditional methods' - to get to my 'before' photo in my first post in this thread, but most of the weight was loss with no intentional, only incidental, exercise.  Just goes to show you what diet does - I started Paleo WOE less than 18 months after the before photo in this post, was taken).

Marika you are one beautiful Paleo girl!

I should post a photo. I don't have any "before" photos but I can take a few currents and post every month for progression.

I must warn everyone though, I really am a caveman.

Now that the picture of me being a pork rinder is up, it will motivate me more in the gym, healthy embarrassment is key !!

I will post another update in about a months time and you will see a big difference (hopefully). I actually hope to look like Tarlach one day.

Good on you.  I was a slightly fat, scrawny guy when I started paleo.  I should have taken a pic when I started.

The pic I posted at the beginning of the thread is not how I look now though  ;).  I slacked off for about 6 months, but the last three months have made a big difference!

I love what my new exercise regime is doing to me and it's so easy to fit in (40 mins every 3 days).  I can't believe I wasted years at the gym for no result and now I can change my appearance in a few months  :o

The "Seven Deadly Sins"

• Grains (wheat/rice/oats etc) . . . . . • Dairy (milk/yogurt/butter/cheese etc)
• Refined foods (salt/sugars etc ) . . • Nightshades (peppers/tomato/eggplant)
• Tubers (potato/arrowroot etc) . . . . • Legumes (soy/beans/peas)
• Modernly palatable (cashews/olives etc)

Its good to know I am not the only one who struggles with consistency. I guess it all wieghs up on how much I work out - the stuff I eat.

So I am posting these.  I am happy with the results, but hte last picture could have been a little better if I was at a better angle.  Anyway, this is my progress since August 9th 2009.

October 2, 2010- yeah I wish it was better than that :(

I'm going to have to post one soon, I've gained about 15 pounds (now at 190) and lost an inch around the waist. Only 15lbs more and I'm at my goal weight.
The answer to your question is 'eat more fat'.

Stop counting calories. If you are eating Paleo, there is usually no need.

If you are having weight loss issues, it'd be a good idea to start posting a detailed food journal, then everyone can help.

'Anecdotal Evidence' is an oxymoron.

this is the most recent photo of me. I think you can see I am pretty heavy. indeed, since this pic I seem to have suddenly developed a nasty roll of fat on my tummy.

Hopefully something better soon. 9lbs  down and counting :)
