Training - Week 1 - 14 Dec 10
« on: December 13, 2010, 08:28:37 PM »
Bought some new weights yesterday, on leave for 6 weeks, hoping to improve a little by then.

Looking a bit 'daggy' (that's Oz for a 'bit ordinary') but had just been throwing weights around :D

Any advice for an old chick welcome ....

C-o-n-s-i-s-t-e-n-c-y.....or some thing close to that.  Do it well, do it often and then repeat.  Consistency is the key to what you seek.  Add more weight or reps will increase what you want.
No expectations, no disappointments!

Thanks Bearso

The pic's only there so that I don't lose motivation and end up looking worse in 6 weeks than I do now  ;D

I might put up one at three weeks and then one at the end to see if there's been an improvement.

Fingers crossed  :P

I only have dumbells for now. I really should get a bench press, and maybe go all out and purchase a squat rack (whatever you call it).

Just having some more equipment would make it more enticing, resulting in more consistency.

Yeah that's why I got my bench.....bought it a month or so ago.....cos unless you get to a proper gym regularly (which I could do cos there's the army gym just up the road about 3 miles, although working out in my underwear there probably wouldn't go down well :o) then you need 'equipment' at home.

Still I'm gonna need even more weights soon, but they're pretty expensive I've found.
