The answer to your question is 'eat more fat'.

Stop counting calories. If you are eating Paleo, there is usually no need.

If you are having weight loss issues, it'd be a good idea to start posting a detailed food journal, then everyone can help.

'Anecdotal Evidence' is an oxymoron.

I believe what samjohn means is that nut flours are like candy cigarettes:  even if they aren't clearly nonpaleo, they acculturate one to nonpaleo foods.  Better to give up the cigarettes/flour/faux baked goods entirely and instead learn cuisine more suited to standard paleo foods.
