It's another case of high fat high carb versus anything else which is the usual flaw in these tests.

My guess is it was high veggie fat and not animal fat.  Most vivarium mice eat a hight grain based diet.  They add other stuff but it is grain based, usually.  Kinda kills the deal for me but I think I will add tangerine's to my list of fruits.  It can't hurt.

We have tangerines, clementines, mandarins, oranges and satsumas.
I wonder if they all have the same stuff in.

Likes satsumas and the like anyway.:)

The article mentions Nobiletin. Further research on that indicates it is created from an extract of tangerine peels and other citrus fruit.  It is being studied as a "Self-microemulsifying drug delivery system"

I eat tangerines or Mandarin oranges as they are smaller than most other oranges making them lower in carbs and sugar.

PD, good thought behind the size vs carb and sugar.  I guess I am buying some this next shopping trip.
