maybe depending on your take.  Generally squash is new world.  However, "squash" is an indian word for "eat raw."

I consider squash paleo, since it's a fruit.  However, some people would exclude it based on it's being a new world food.  From an evolutionary perspective, it's probably in the same category as tomatoes, albeit without the known issues some people have with tomatoes.
