I don't normally take very many supplements.  I take my thyroid meds of course and I take folic acid on a fairly regular basis, 'just in case'.  I will most likely supplement with Vit D is year because we get very little sunlight here.

Have you considered tapering or dropping the thyroid meds now that you're paleo?

It isn't possible yet.  I was taking .150 mg and my TSH was low in June, so the doc took me down to .137 alternating with .150 and my TSH jumped to a level that does not allow me to function well.  I do have the auto-immune type of hypo-thyroid, but unfortunately was diagnosed so far after it started that I think my thyroid was too damaged.  Had I discovered paleo 8 years ago this might have been a different story.  In 2003 after I had my second child I was told my thyroid hormone (TSH) was on the high end of normal.  And it was, but it was 5.9, which is now considered high.  By the time I was diagnosed in Dec 2005 my TSH was through the roof at 100.  Yeah, poor medical management for sure.
I recently got my doctor to agree to switch me from teh synthetic to the natural thyroid supplement.  Even when my TH is super low I still have symptoms, which are better since going paleo, but are still present.  I am hoping that having both T4 and T3 in the meds will help me feel better and get this under control finally.

I take liquid vitamins and a fish supplement during the winter.  I find that they give me a boost to my immune system.  (Well that and the doctor wants me to take them on a daily basis.)  The doctor says that the liquid vitamins are better used by the body.

Vitamin D has come up a bit here. Shouldn't fish (eggs and mushrooms are a fair source too) and sunlight be more than enough? For those who are sun deprived (I remember one winter here where it was cloudy for about 2 months straight and people got so squirrely that some took charters to fly above the clouds) but what about full spectrum lamps?

I agree that hunter-gatherers didn't take a one-a-day. I take them as I'm not so sure my diet is diverse enough right now, and I'm not a counter, calorie, macro, or micro nutrient wise, but I plan on eliminating them at some point.
