Enzyme supplements for gas?
« on: March 25, 2012, 11:00:21 AM »
Just wondering if anyone takes enzyme supplements to get rid of gas. Would this work? I have some beano, but read the label the other day and it contains wheat. Some of the coenzyme supplements I looked at said they came from rice bran. Are there paleo versions of these and is there any reason to take them?

Eat mostly meat and you won't get gas. No need for supplements.

Hi,
I could never have gone Paleo without Pancreatic enzymes. Before that, I couldn't digest anything but starch. Meat, fat, fruit and veggies all made me bloated. Now I can eat almost anything.  So a couple weeks ago I went Paleo in the hopes it will clear up some health problems I have. I'm not sure if some day I'll be able to back off the enzymes, if I get healthier. Some of us might just be born with substandard digestive systems. Hope this helps.

Three posts, all on the same subject. If it looks like spam, and it smells like spam, it probably is spam.

No, I'm not Spam. Just a Newbie, trying to be helpful. I admit I take way too many supplements. I hope to cut back on some of them eventually. I think taking enzymes is way better than cutting out veggies completely.

If you have chemicals or poisons in your gut, you can adsorb that by drinking some activated charcoal.

I have the same problem gas and bloating for whatever I eat. 1--where can I get that charcoal and 2--where can I get pancreatic enzymes?

Thanks!
