Interesting.

My suspicion is that this means vitamin D is not the cause of the increased strokes in whites, either.  For example, it might be that the strokes were caused by having no outside activity at all.  A minimal amount of outside activity might be enough to protect against strokes for both races, but might still leave dark skinned individuals short of vitamin D.

I found the study raised more questions then it answered, but was a "hmmm" moment over all.

OR, everyone needs to get a dog that will force them outside in all seasons for daily play and direct exposure to Vitamin D.
