Should women take a women's multi vit?

Hi guys

I'm just curious if there is any benefit to taking a women multi vitamin or are the regular ones fine? Right now I'm taking them and calcium and fish oil as I'm a bit low according to my last blood test and as I'm still learning paleo I'm sure to bump my head and miss important foods.
Also could someone please direct me to a good place where I could find what foods to increase or add to my diet to back off the supplements?

For the first few weeks I'd advise plugging in your daily food intakes into a nutrient calculator such as the one on Nutrition Data's site. There you can get a better idea of your overall fats, carbs, vitamins and minerals for the day, and which of those you may be lacking (Folate & B-vitmains are important ones). Do not pay attention to the so-called "Inflammation Factor" number, that is a load of crap.

Calcium and some added magnesium (to offset the cup of coffee I have in the morning) are the only supps I take daily. Multivitamins tend to get peed right out of your system, and should not be needed if you're eating a wide variety of foods every day.

Thanks for the advice Kimbits I'm gonna have a start using a nutrient calculator, isnt silly i didnt know about those ...lol
I also didnt know that about multivitamins...ive heard people rage on about how needed they are for well being...still getting used to forgetting the old info i think.

If you are going to take a multivitamin, a women's multivitamin is probably the way to go.
