So, Alli = Poison, then?
« on: October 09, 2007, 12:24:24 PM »
That drug Alli is on the market now. It is specifically designed to block fat absorption. This drug inhibits pancreatic lipase an enzyme that breaks down triglycerides in the gut. Given how important certain kinds of fat are for human health this sounds like a truly awful idea.
The woman in the cube across from me could be the spokeswoman for everything that is wrong in the fitnes and diet industry. Not only is she on Alli but she doesn't eat while the sun is shining.....  ::) She is on this crap drug and man is she a cranky grouch. I deal with an endless stream of grouchy unhappiness all day long with her. She is constantly exhausted and moody. Frowning and pessimistic. Just. Wow.

Is she Muslim and are we in the middle of Ramadan?  During Ramadan Muslims don't eat between sunrise and sunset.

Actually that was my first thought as well when I read that line in the original post.  We ARE in the middle of Ramadan right now.

No, its just her idea of a weight loss program.

"I don't eat during the day."

heh, yeah I actually do make a bit of fun with her. I call her "Sunshine" and ask sarcastic questions about how she is feeling today.
Apparently the guy I replaced was her good friend as I overheard her complaining about how I was quiet and she didn't like me as much as her friend. heh that must have been a miserable pair. She probably misses having another grouch around to be miserable with.
