Did my second fundamentals class last night.

I did 25 hang snatches with a broomstick.
25 similar ideas with a 10 pound medicine ball...although only to sternum heighth, not over the head
       rowed 2000 meters

I felt great afterwards.  Surprisingly, I'm not sore today.

that sounds awesome!  they have just started cross fit at my gym....but you have to be a certain fitness level to do it.  which I am not.  so that sucks.

Well, that doesn't sound authentically crossfit, Sarah, because they are really great about scaling things to people's needs so that gains can be made over time until one is able to get to prescribed level.

I'm going to whine for a moment...

I hate that I can only do fundamentals with crossfit twice a week!  I really want to get the fundamentals out of the way and start working out three to four times a week, dagnabit!!!

I'm thinking of going in to Bikram but I just hate being so daggone hot.

Ok, Monday isn't that far off...

I loved my third fundamentals class tonight!

I used a 15 pound bar and did 3 rotations of:

3 shoulder presses
5 push presses
7 push jerk presses
500 meter row

I completed the rotation in 12:20.

I felt great!  My trainer said that on Wednesday we were going to start doing pull ups and she said that she thought I was ready to start kipping because she thought I was strong enough.  Who would have thought?!  Woohoo!!  Now I just have to wait until Wednesday, that will be the hard part!

Fourth Fundamentals:

4 cycles of a bunch of things that i don't know the name for

10 back flexions
10 back extensions
10 holding onto some handles and lowering myself slowly to arm failure
10 handstand pushups from a bench
10 pulling self up to arm locked position in rings and raising legs to horizontal with ground
did not generally do the leg part as had a trying time just to keep rings close to body to stay up

My arms were totally spent last night.  I'm so shocked to wake up and not be sore.  I still feel weakness, but not soreness.  This way of eating is so amazing.  If I'd done this eating SAD I would be seriously hurting right now.

Now I can do classes and am feeling a bit nervous around the idea of doing the real workouts; they are intense!!!
