I suspect he makes you start at level one at everything to make sure you have correct form so you don't hurt yourself.
Change requires you to scream, I'M NOT GONNA TAKE ANY MORE!...and then you don't.

Yeah, it's a combination of things. Tempo, form, and helping the joints and tendons ease into some of the motions. The Level 1 exercises are all very high reps (3x50) so you end up feeling it in the joints more than anything. However, the knee tucks are awesome for those of us with shitty hip flexibility.

Are your body weight workouts putting any bulk on you?
The answer to your question is 'eat more fat'.

Stop counting calories. If you are eating Paleo, there is usually no need.

If you are having weight loss issues, it'd be a good idea to start posting a detailed food journal, then everyone can help.

'Anecdotal Evidence' is an oxymoron.

I'm not exactly measuring, but yes, as far as I can tell. I'm not shooting for "big" though. Strength, yes; hypertrophy, no.

Out of curiosity, why do people think that doing bodyweight work won't build muscle? You'll never look like Arnold in his prime, sure, but that doesn't mean you don't gain muscle...
