Monday 21.02.11

PT was a crossfit session - farmer's walks, lunges with weight above head, shuttles with pushups at either end and ab work.

Circuits at lunchtime was just circuits - it's getting a bit samey already - may swap it for some weights instead.

PT over the last couple of weeks,  what I remember anyway:

Friday 05 Mar 11

Circuits in pairs on the oval (mornings are getting a bit colder now).

First station was situps and upright rows with press using heavy metal bars (while one of the pair is doing 30 situps, the other is doing the weights part and then you change over - there's a 100m run in between each person) and you count down in 2s until you've both got down to 20 situps and then change stations).
Second station was bicep curls with 30 squat jumps
Third station was bent over rows with 20 supermans (back extensions)
Fourth station was triceps with lunges (10 each leg counting down to 5 each leg)

We had music so that was good, cos we don't normally have that and we did some Maori fighting type stuff afterwards for a bit of fun at the end.

Monday 28 Feb 11

A different kind of interval training with lunges, sprinting, running backwards (which I'm crap at). Not my favourite session.

Friday 25 Feb 11

Combat Fitness - Gun Run

We had to move parts of a pretend Gun from one end of the oval to the other in teams of four. Using logs, tyres, Jerri cans, ammo boxes etc to make up parts of the gun - it was fun.  I love combat fitness.

I've done some other lunchtime circuits and 4 km walks as well.

Friday 11 Mar 11

Huon Hill Climb - total run uphill for 5.8 kms, of over 1345 vertical feet or 410 metres - average gradient 8%. It was hard but worth it, and I wasn't last up so that was a bonus - there were 3 men behind me  :P - wore the vibrams too - some gravel track, some mud, some cattle grids, some sealed road.

Monday 07 Mar 11

Circuit training for BFA

15 situps, 10 pushups, run 300 m as fast as you can - do as many circuits of that as you can in 40 minutes

Lunchtime circuits - station 1 - beep test run at level 6 for 5 mins, station 2 - alternate every 60 secs with push ups and tricep dips for 5 mins, station 3 - alternate every 60 secs with sit ups and plank or crunches for 5 mins - 2 rounds of that.

Haven't done a lot else this week due to being too busy at work.

It's a long weekend this weekend so am gonna go out either Sunday or Monday and do some 'stuff'!!  Maybe get in my weights room too.

Putting it here so that I make sure I 'just do it', especially as there's no Monday PT session this week.   8)
