4x a week is going to be pretty hard on you recovery wise. three times is a good number.
Yeah, I've decided not to overdo it with CrossFit, I think 3x per week will be my limit. But let's get once per week under way first.

First real crossfit session today. An I am NERVOUS haha.

Good work. Try not to fall victim to their 'another rep at any cost' mentality though. Good form keeps you injury free.
The answer to your question is 'eat more fat'.

Stop counting calories. If you are eating Paleo, there is usually no need.

If you are having weight loss issues, it'd be a good idea to start posting a detailed food journal, then everyone can help.

'Anecdotal Evidence' is an oxymoron.

Our coaches are actually really in to form, this place seems a bit more 'British' than others I've heard about. It's not loads of military meatheads pushing each other to beyond the limit. They seem to be very good at focusing on form and technique to build weight and speed onto the lifts.

Cheers guys. Blog post coming soon on my first CrossFit.

Another update on defining fitness. This post is VERY open to discussion as anyone's advice on whether or not I might be going wrong would be very much appreciated.

The thing about fitness is the stronger you are the easier it is to perform tasks the "fitter" you are.

It makes sense to me that even endurance athletes could benefit from aiming a portion of training time towards maximal strength development.

I've been reading about fermented cod liver oil and it's benefits. Unfortunately it's very expensive and I'm a broke student. My budget is already at breaking point and as I'm in my final year I don't have any time for a part time job to supplement my loan. So basically it's a no go until I qualify. I do take vitamin D though, but it's not really made that much of difference.
