April 30:

Only 6 hours sleep (NOT ever enough for me).

1 h 20.41 min walk. Flat terrain. Mostly barefoot. Ankle unstable. Cloudy.

Very restless today. Wanted to go outside, but was very tired.

51.15 min walk, after OD'ing on caffeine. Well worth it though. Felt great to get outside!

Closely followed by 54 min circuit. I was unstoppable.

I seem to have more energy in the evening compared to daytime. I've been a night owl from birth. But this is too extreme. Caffeine also seems to work best in late afternoon/ evening ("perfect"  ::) ). If it works. I seems to vary.

It started out like a very bad day, but it ended good (not a common scenario in my life).

May!  :) (Uh oh, summer's almost over!  :o )

1 h 35.32 min walk. Light backpack (protects me from the wind as well). First half went well, ankles and knees felt strong. Second half was worse. A little sun at first, then cloudy and windy. Flat terrain. Mostly barefoot.

53 min walk. Vibram. Less energy than yesterday. Caffeine didn't have that much effect.

Rain, cold, and wet.  :( All day.  ::)

1 h 12.10 min circuit. Not overly awake. Knee hurt from biking. Biking is normally hard on my knee (everything is), but we're talking about only 2 x 8 min.

Around 9.30 pm we had a break from the rain and after being cooped up inside all day, there wasn't a question: I had to go outside. I was tired, it was too cold to wear the toe shoes - but I did it anyway (because I live on the edge). 58.58 min walk. Got very dark in the forest on the way home. Feet terribly cold. Mood? Good.  :)

I don't get it, spring is normally when we have the warmest weather of the year. It's the time you forget it's only spring, the snow and ice are melting in the mountains, and the lakes are filled with glacier water. It all comes back to you the moment after you dove in, and you are trying to get back to shore as quickly as possible.

58.30 min walk. Flat terrain. Pretty cold. I still chose to go barefoot (how smart, I don't know). Tired.

1 h 14.04 min circuit.

57 min walk w/ light backpack. Had been raining and it got very slippery. Cold. Ankle not working 100%.
