Good news - my BMI is up to nearly 28. To listen to modern medicine tell it, I am a fatty.

Further good news, perhaps the last good news I will post on this site.

I have found the Final Solution to my eyesight problems. It turns out that when I go long enough without using computers, my ciliary muscles atrophy out and after a month or so I have far better than perfect vision like my dad.

From now on, in an almost luddite-like fashion, I am forsaking almost all technology. In the event I chat with any of my friends online, I'll do it from an iPhone because it damages my eyes less. If I weren't still in college, I'd throw out my computer on this realization alone.

The only reason I am even on the computer right now is because I have to type a long and grueling science paper in exchange for a med school recommend. Once I finish that, I'm probably done with 99% of technology, for a very long time.

Technology is evil, destroy it. All of it. Put an axe to everything with a circuit board, and burn this sickly depraved civilization to the ground.

I was wondering, how come you aren't pursuing the hunter-gatherer hermit lifestyle that I remember you talking about before, living out in the wild as a lone wolf

Tonight I am doing iron palm and tabata drills to the musical stylings of Dido.

Tomorrow is a goof off day, I'll be at the gym doing farmers' walks. Right now I just start with the 85 pound weights, walk the length of the weight area and back, do a set of 10 shrugs, and then repeat with the next weight down, all the way down to 20 pound weights. It's not huge but my forearms and hand muscles let me know they exist after I put down the 20 pounders. I'll throw in fingertip pushups and dead hangs for time on the pullup bar. I can't currently hold a one armed dead hang for very long, but I'll work on that too.

The reward for this type of training is generally just a fried CNS.
