You should be committed if you get on a bike at -3.  In West Australia, we all moan and wear four layers of clothing if it gets below 0C  :D

I actually took a whole day off without exercising. It was not easy. My carbs for the day consisted of a cup of spinach, a small apple, 2 oranges, an avocado and a carrot.

Got up, downed a big glass of water, cup of coffee and hit the rock for 15 min. of super high intensity fun.
push ups on the rock for 25 reps>chest passes to failure> pushups to fail> chest passes to failure> pushups to failure> overhead press toss behind to failure (scary ;))> push ups to fail> push presses for 10 reps (failure)>alternating shot puts fail> squats holding the rock on my chest to failure> pushups fail> gorilla swings fail.

Since I was sick all day yesterday and most of this morning I decided an easy day was in order.
So we took the dogs out for a 6mi. out and back hike. It was a nice 3mi. gradual uphill going out and of course a nice downhill going back to the trailhead. We took our time and walked for 1.5 hrs. There is still a decent amount of snow, lots of cold creek crossings and sticky mud to keep it interesting.

Took the dogs for a 7 mi. hike stopping a few times to do some technical shooting practice. Shots were between 60 & 120 yds. up and down some very steep hills. So I'm hiking up or down to set up a target, returning to a shooting position, firing off a 30+ rounds in various shooting positions, retrieving the target and heading back up the trail to find another challenging place with potential.I try to move at a quick pace (route step) so on my first few shots my heart is pounding. Total time- 4 hrs.

After doing a massage my girl and I took the dogs for another short hike. It was a 2mi. uphill and the trail is flooded with snow run off. We wore our Chako's  :o Can you say "BLUE FEET?"  ;D  Total distance- 4mi.Total time- 1 hr.
For the day I probably hiked around 12 mi. Vertical feet is a guess- 600?

Headed out this morning to do an 8.4 mi. mountain bike ride. Made it 1/4 mi. up the trail and it was so muddy slick I didn't bother going any further.  :( We have a lot of bentonite clay in our soil which is like axle grease when wet.

Went back home grabbed my road bike and rode a 12.6 mi. loop instead. I was 5 min. faster than fastest previous time.  ;D Have to like that.

I was able to do my planned ride from yesterday today.  ;D

I rode 8.4 mi. with 2,000 ft. of elevation gain and loss. I was joined by my usual partner, Willy the wolfdog. My girlfriend was able to join us too.

Was quite a sufferfest!  ;D

I am really loving that with the Paleo diet my exercise induced asthma is a non-issue. ;D

What I really love is the recovery rate. I am able to ride hard day after day after day! It's astonishing!
