Why the reverse pyramid?

I found I was stalling on the regular 5x5 so thought id change things up a bit, after reading this. TBH ive only started doing it in the last 2 weeks or so, but its allowed me to up the weight a bit.

My last overhead press session looked like (kgs minus bar):
5 x empty bar (warmup)
3 x 10kg (warmup)
2 x 20kg (warmup)
5 x 32kg
4 x 31.6kg
5 x 29.8kg
5 x 27kg
5 x 27kg

So anytime I hit 5 reps I up the weight next session for that set. Thought it kinda made sense. On the regular 5x5 I was using 29.5kg. What do you think?
