My exercise routine
« on: April 09, 2011, 02:40:23 AM »
We still have 3 feet of snow on the ground with a base of ice under it, so I am not doing much outside.  Since my husband is handicapped and spends most of his time in the loft at his computer, and seldom goes up and down the stairs which he should be doing, I am the one using the two flights of stairs as my personal stair stepper.  Up and down the stairs - routine - let dog out at 6
am, come back in and up stairs to ask Doug what he would like for his breakfast, run downstairs again, go to freezer in basement, upstairs to cook, then carry loaded tray up to loft, run back down again, feed cats and dog, run back upstairs.  then climb on treadmill for 3.5 mph walk in 22 to 23 minutes.  then downstairs, let dog out, come back upstairs, help Doug get dressed...and my day continues up and down stairs.  I love it!

What I see from my treadmill?

That is the absolutely beautiful Swan Range.  This is just part of it of course.  Pyramid Mountain is the tallest one I can see from my house.  Further up the road towards Condon the peaks there are just super fabulous!  Jagged, beautiful peaks.  On the other side of our Seeley-Swan valley are the Mission Mountains, another very impressive view, but further up towards Flathead Lake, they too are most impressive.  We actually live on a little mountain which is part of the Swans at 6,000 feet.  We are are the top of it of this little bump.  We have 8 acres of prime forested land here, and don't even see the lights of the town because the front of our house faces the Swans.  So when I walk on my treadmill I'm actually looking at both ranges, the Missions to my left, the Swans to my right.  My little Logitech camera doesn't take as nice a picture of the Swans as I would like.   I have my good camera set up to take macro pictures of the dolls.  However, one day I shall have to get out there and take some good pictures of the swans.  The first picture is of the Mission MOuntains.  the second one is the Swans.
