Gym question?
« on: September 03, 2013, 07:06:43 PM »
I was recently considering joining a gym, instead I do squats, push ups, crunches, etc. at home.
Ive heard very different from people, so I don't know what to think.
So far I'll do 20 - 40 push-ups, I use to do more. Whats the feel of a gym/workout circa?
Will the machines confuse me? lol

Gym vs Home training is a personael thing I think, I tried at home training but found lots of reasons not to fit it in.
With the gym I make time to actually go.

If you enjoy at home training look up a book called convict conditioning.

Stay away from the machines.  Stick to bodyweights and freeweights.  Isolation machines are for bodybuilders who want to look inflated and pussies who are to scared to pick up a kettlebell.    The only machine I use is the leg press, but I am too lazy do squats.  I'm trying to break the habit

Ask yourself one simple question:

What will make me feel/look/perform better in 1 year's time?  A gym membership or doing it at home.

Really think about this question, how often you'd workout in both situations, etc.
