1 cup stewed beef (stewing beef in crock pot with cracked pepper and chili flakes)
1 cup wild blueberries
Lunch:
2 egg omelette fried in 1 tsp lard
1/2 cup fried mushrooms and onion and garlic fried in 1 tsp lard
1 apple (organic ambrosia....my fave!)
Snack:
1/2 cup walnuts
1 apple
Supper:
1 large pork chop bbq'd (about 5-6 oz)
tossed salad (romaine lettuce, shredded carrot, green onion)
1 tbsp paleo tahini salad dressing
Comments? Critiques? Haven't entered into Sparkpeople yet to see what my stats are at....it was sure yummy though!

Sounds Delish!
I don't have many critiques, but I will comment that two apples worth of sugar can add up (berries have less sugar if you want to sub) and that 1/2 cup of walnuts can be a lot of omega-6 but it sounds fine other than that!
If you are hungry, eat more meat instead of an apple and that will make things much easier for you.
Glad to have you here
and good luck!

I agree, in fact I can't eat apples because they are too sweet! :-)
Everything else sounds delicious! How are you feeling overall?

thanks guys!
I am feeling pretty good! smug in a lot of ways as I know this is what my body wants. I get a bit obsessive about things and so now I am working on changing my kids and my hubby to this. My hubby is quite happy to consume meat and fruits and veg as it makes meals much easier and faster! My kids.....well let's just say they are fairly grain dependent. They are huge meat lovers though so that is a bonus that I know a lot of parents don't have.
okay so walnuts less of...and apples. I love berries and we have a ton in our freezer from our blackberry season in august here on vancouver island. so that's a bonus.
Marika! Cron-o-meter is freaking awesome! Just downloaded it this morning and started using it! I've been entering in spark people which is great too for a free site...but I love crono.
What's your stances on coconut milk? I had some with my blackberries this morning....just warmed blackberries with 1/2 cup coconut milk on top. It's not full fat coconut milk but it's very low in carbs...1 g in 1/2 cup!

Yes, isn't Cron-o-meter great? I love it!
Re: coconut milk; I don't eat it because all coconut products are somewhat diarrhetic and cause problems for me. Also because currently I'm trying to eat what my ancestors in Paleolithic Europe would have eaten; no coconuts in ancient Poland, LOL!

I make curry once a week with coconut milk. I think it's o.k. I would go for the full fat.
. Everything else looks good. Unless you are exercising really hard 2 apples in a day is a lot.

thanks!
I am kinda thumbing my nose at my dr's advice too with this low histamine diet. It's too ridiculous! I need spinach and avocado. I think I'll see improvements in my hives if I just stick with the paleo. We'll see anyways.
Wlfdg....normally I am at the gym 3 days a week. I do HIIT cardio for 20 minutes, then heavy weights for about 1 hour. I have a 3 day split program...total body one day, upper one day, and lower body the last day. I have a broken foot right now...so I've had to give up lunges for the leg press....but other than that that's my exercise program. I was going 6 days a week for a couple months because I wasn't losing any weight...but nothing happened then too. Nothing happened until I went Paleo and I immediately lost 10lbs. I don't know what hard exercising would be classified as? Is 3 days like I do hard? I also walk to work Monday to Friday - about 40 minutes round trip at a fairly good clip.

Looks like a great menu to me. Tahini might be slightly borderline, but I wouldn't worry about it.

Training that hard you might be a little light on protein? You should get a bodyfat% measurement and figure on 2.2g per 1kg of lean bodymass.

I had my body fat measured at the gym. They use the pinch test calipers...not sure how accurate they are for obese people though? Anyways...I started at 31 % body fat back in June. I am at 21 % now. Which would put me at 196 lbs of lean mass x 2.2 g protein = 431 g of protein a day!! yeesh...those cows that I pass by on the way to work better look out! hahaaha...maybe I should use my "ideal" weight for my height in the calculation?

last 3 days = bad eating!! UGH ACK ERK!
Christmas combined with working at a place where stupid people put piles of stupid chocolate everywhere combined with my new WOE and my weak resolve = eating crap for 3 days....wahhhh!
Christmas is going to be brutal....my hubby's family is Ukranian and Norwegian....so we do Ukranian Christmas Eve supper (perogies, ham, cream cabbage soup, cabbage rolls, carbs carbs arg arg!), then Norwegian Snusk at midnight (sweets sweets and more sweets), then turkey dinner Christmas day. Turkey dinner I can likely survive as Paleo...if I am totally not hungover or totally starved from not eating Christmas Eve.....double wahhh...
I know these are only excuses and not reasons...
How are any of these cultures healthy at all? How are they standing? Norwegian food is nothing but white flour and potatoes smothered in sugar!
