Recipes and meal photos / does this sound Paleo?« on: July 04, 2011, 11:02:59 AM »![]() I was going to take one of my old recipes and tweak it a little. Just curious if this could be considered Paleo. Here it is. I was going to make ceviche. I use Fish (Pollack), Shrimp. Cilantro, Tomatoes, Avocado, Onion, finely cut cucumber, Jalapeno, Habenero Pepper. Now I usually add certain salt related spices, which I may do for everyone else, but I will make mine separate. So by mixing all those ingredients does that sound Paleo or not? I will make rice and tortillas for the rest of the crew, I will just eat what is listed above. Thanks Jay 6

How much and how often should I be consuming protein? I am 5' 10" and 180lbs. I want to lose some of the body fat I have and build muscle. Allot of people stress to lose weight do not eat that much fruit. Losing weight has never been a problem, its gaining it that has. Any advice would be appreciated. Thank you again

OK I started July 1st. No Sugar, No Grains, No Dairy. At only Lean Meats, Vegetables, and fruit. Prior to this I was a Processed food and Sugar junkie. On day 3 I feel weird. My energy is low, I have a headache. I am still drinking coffee but just plain, no sugar or cream.
Is this normal? Do you eventually feel better? I am still sticking with it and will continue to at least the end of the month. Thank you Jay 8

Diet and nutrition / Starting July 1st, some quick "Q"'s« on: June 28, 2011, 11:34:49 AM »![]() Jay 1. Would it be ok to buy big bags of COSTCO Frozen (as plain as i can find) Chicken breast and Salmon, I would rinse them prior to cooking. 2. I want to stay in shape and be healthy. I am 41 and 180lbs (5'-10") I need to lose some fat, and I want to build some muscle (not a-lot) How much meat portions should I have for each meal? 3. Can I really eat all the fruits and vegitables I want all day? 4. Is can tuna in water, (rinsed prior to use) ok in a pinch? 5. Lastly 1 cup of black coffee no additives, is that ok?
