Hi all
I was hoping you might be able to help me, i used to live a caveman lifestyle a few years ago and then with one thing and another, getting pregnant having my daughter i stopped doing it and have piled all my weight back on, however i am having my gall bladder removed on monday and i really want to go back on the diet afterwards once i am recovered but i have had a few drs tell me that this diet is not recommended for people without a gall bladder was wondering if there were any people on here who as had their gall bladder removed and still eating paleo, or if anyone can tell me otherwise i loved this lifestyle and really want to restart my health and diet especially now with having my 15month old daughter.
thanks amy x

thanks everyone my BMI is now under 35 which is great, my gynochologist as told me i can start the tablets after a few more tests, but i might need IVF which i need to be under a BMI of 30 for this, so i am still on paleo and loosing weight although i tend to have a blow out at the weekends and then feel guilty on the monday but other than that it is going well. exercise is going well, cycling, going on wii fit, and karate. which i am enjoying x

Hi Guys,
I am back and back for good, i was doing so well and to a degree i have been eating so much better since my doctor told me about 'caveman diet' then i started eating badly again choloclate etc, saying to myself it is only the once yeah right! i am still loosing weight but not toning like i was with caveman and wow do i feel sluggish, so i have told myself i need to stick to paleo, i felt 100% better, had more energy and was loosing weight at a nice pace. i am going to get my hubby to put photos up and i am going to keep a religious diary as this helped last time, plus i only have till the end of july to get my BMI below 35 for me to start fertility treatment. Just in case your wondering my BMI is 36.6 (it was 40.6 at the beginning of january before i found this site and paleo), please can i have encoursgement and messages and emails from people as i found this helped last time.
thanks hope everyone is doing well.

What is it that draws you to Chinese food so much? There's a lot of Chinese food that is close-enough to be fine as long as you don't eat the rice or noodles. Sure, the sauces are usually a little off, but no one ever claimed you need to be perfect.
in answer to your question, i think it is the taste and me been lasy and not wanting to cook. In relation to the other things you both said, yeah i suppose you are right i was probably using my illness to eat what i wanted and not what i should have been. I am now fully focused and back on track.
Thanks guys

ok so i was doing really well on paleo, and lost a stone in 15 days , then i got ill with a stomach virus bug thing abd couldn't keep anything down and doctor told me to just eat what i was able to keep down this happened to be crap food, chinese, kebab, weetabix with hot milk all the things i shouldn't be eating i also stopped writing my food diary any way that was at the beginning of last week and this week we had hardly any food in apart from what was left in the freezer, so meat and veg, and fish which i know is ok but was having other non paleo food with it, and this week i have eaten loads which i know i shouldn't be eating, ben and jerrys cookie dough, chocolate, fizzy drinks, chinese, and i feel like i have lost touch with eating caveman and lost site of my goal. I took my husband into toys r us to look at 'babies r us' to see if that kicked started me again, def made me think and cry in the middle of the shop.... so i weighed myself and i have put 6lb back on i am so upset and angry with myself. i have till july 30th to get to a BMI of under 35 before i can start the fertility treatment. I really need to get motivated again, we went food shopping and brought aload of meat and veg in again, then had 1 last blow out of chinese so i am startign again tomorrow. i think encouragement is needed guys. thanks. Amy xx
